Stepping into America after landing across the pond I was questioning ‘what does God look like over here?’, ‘how does a whole other nation do life?’ and ‘why am I here?’.
Excitingly entering LA, I quickly noticed that this corner of the world is one that has the same candy-coated struggles as the rest of the world. Nevertheless, God’s divine creation was constantly keeping me in awe of how small we are and how big He is. With this in mind, God has stilled me this week to realise who He is. He is God. And God is Good. The one who threw the ball of fire into motion, which meant we could be entertained endlessly with the array of colour falling into a sunset each night.
God, when creating these moments, must have known He was giving us a glimpse of what it looks like to be in a present moment with Him no matter where we were standing in the world. Yet, this God is the same God who knows and loves me. Even more, he wants to lead me and you. The great courage that has been planted in me is that where God leads us, he never leaves us.
Despite messing up daily, God still desires me. His love and grace surpasses my wrongdoing. We know that for those who love God, all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.
